Our friends at the Master Gardener Program in Coconino County are looking for people eager to learn more about horticulture and willing to volunteer their gardening skills to benefit the community.
This nation-wide program is being offered through the Coconino County Cooperative Extension. The 15 classroom sessions emphasize the needs and challenges of high elevation gardening in Coconino County. Upon completion of the classes plus a volunteer project, participants are certified as Master Gardeners.
Classes are on Tuesdays from 1 to 4:30 pm from January 24th through May 9th (no class on March 14th for Spring Break). The cost of the class is $200, which includes the Master Gardener comprehensive handbook.
For an application, call (928) 774-1868 x110 or e-mail: email@example.com. You can also find more details in the Spring 2017 brochure here.
